What do you think of this idea for a tattoo?
September 5th, 2010I was thinking about getting a tattoo in the future (after some careful consideration and of course I’ll need to save up the money; I’m 18 now). I kind of want to get a tattoo that represents my love for writing: a feather pen and inkwell where the the pen is dripping ink that makes a puddle that looks like a heart.
However, I also want to add in some scripture references in a Roman Numeral code (ie: Genisis 3:5 would be I; III:V). The natural choice would be Psalm 45:1 (XIX; XLV:I) because it’s about poetry/writing. However, Jeremiah 29:11-14 and Psalm 139 have REALLY impacted me. Should I just stick with the one verse, or should I add in all of them?
I like your idea, although try not to make it too detailed if you have never had one before. You can always get the basics and add to it later (i.e. the scripture references).

Ignoring the simple fact that what you’re asking is illegal to begin with, it’s also totally impractical. A full-fledged video game involves dozens (if not hundreds) of various files and registry entries. Attaching them to an email is not workable. I suggest if you really want the full version that badly, go out and buy it.

the our is thought to refer to the triune God (Father, Son & Spirit) i think the OT Jews saw it more as a plural of respect, like the royal we. (the Queen does not say ‘I’ but ‘we’ when talking of herself.
one of the names used by the OT Jews 2 refer to God was ‘adonai’ which is gramatically plural (the English gramatical equivilent wud be summit ending in ‘s’ )

Gen 1 & 2 are simply 2 different accounts of the same creation (like parallel passages in the Gospels.) they do not disagree.

Bible Punctuation Genisis please help?
September 5th, 2010when reffering to Genisis from the bible how would i punctuate it?
for instance. the creation story from Genisis is about adam and eve.
would i put quotes or underline Genisis or leave it the same
Refer to it as the Book of Genesis (note spelling) If you are citing Chapter and verse, you would right (for example) Genesis 1:27

People who have read the Genisis and the Exodus?

Suggest you choose Moses and his brother Aaron and his sister Miriam as three principles in these books… well, in Exodus at least.
I can’t recall when Moses makes his first appearance, if it’s in Genesis or not. It could well be, since Moses is first seen as a baby, then a young man, then out the door so to speak–
If you need to, go to a library and look in a really good concordance to whatever bible you’re using so you can find passages about each of these people easily, if you want.
Be sure to read a couple of verses (at least) above and below whatever verse the concordance tells you to look at, though.
It’s all interesting.
