RESiDENT EViL
genisis chapter 1 and chapter 2 don’t really put creation in the same order.
They are not contradictory but complementary.
The claim goes that there are two creation accounts: Genesis 1 and 2 give different accounts. In chapter 1, man and woman are created at the same time after the creation of the animals. In chapter 2, the animals are created after people.
This apparent contradiction is best illustrated by looking at Genesis 2:19.
Out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field and every bird of the air, and brought them to Adam to see what he would call them (NKJV).
The language appears to suggest that God made the animals after making Adam and then He brought the animals to Adam. However, in Genesis 1, we have an account of God creating animals and then creating men and women.
The difficulty with Genesis 2:19 lies with the use of the word formed. The same style is read in the KJV. "And out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them".
The NIV has a subtly different rendition.
"Now the Lord God had formed out of the ground all the beasts of the field and all the birds of the air. He brought them to the man to see what he would name them".
The NIV suggests a different way of viewing the first two chapters of Genesis. Genesis 2 does not suggest a chronology. That is why the NIV suggests using the style “the Lord God had formed out of the ground all the beasts of the fields.” Therefore, the animals being brought to Adam had already been made and were not being brought to him immediately after their creation. Interestingly, Tyndale agrees with the NIV—and Tyndale’s translation predates the KJV.
"The Lord God had made of the earth all manner of beasts of the field and all manner fowls of the air"
Tyndale and the NIV are correct on this verse because the verb in the sentence can be translated as pluperfect rather than perfect. The pluperfect tense can be considered as the past of the past—that is to say, in a narration set in the past, the event to which the narration refers is already further in the past. Once the pluperfect is taken into account, the perceived contradiction completely disappears.
Love.
Where did the wife come from. That has Been bugging me since I read that
Many Christians will tell you in answer to this that she was a sibling – a daughter of Adam and Eve. This is because they interepret literally the Genesis account of the creation of mankind and do not realize that the account of Adam and Eve is the account of a specific lineage that ultimately concerns our salvation, since it is the lineage of Jesus Christ. However the Bible never says that there were no other people created. It is quite possible and likely that there were other humans on earth – created by God – but that they were distinct from Adam and Eve in that they did not have "the Spirit of God" (the Holy Spirit) dwelling in them. In other words, they were people who were not yet enlightened by the Holy Spirit in the knowledge and understanding and worship of God. This is why Adam and Eve were in Paradise, whereas the other humans were outside of Paradise. When Adam and Eve rejected God, they also fell out of Paradise. The children they had were born outside of Paradise, and were able to find wives among the "sons of men" (i.e. those who did not know God, as opposed to the lineage of Adam and Eve, who are called "sons of God").
This is an interpretation – but since this question does not involve a dogmatic issue of the Christian faith, it is open to personal interpretation.
I hope this helps!
I WANNA PLAY MY SEGA EMULATOR BUT MY CONTROL WONT WORK. I HAVE WINDOWS VISTA AND IT INSERTED THE CONTROL THEN IT RECOCNIZED THE CONTROL THEN SAID READY FOR USE. THEN I TRIED IT BUT IT WONT WORK. I GOT THE EMULATOR OFF OF EMULATOR-ZONE.COM AND AM CURENTLY TRYING TO PLAY JURRASIC PARK FOR THE GENISIS. PLEASE HELP ME.
You need to set which controller you would like to use on your emulator. I’m not sure which you are using but right now I have Fusion. I just go Options>Set config>Controllers>and you will see that you can choose either Mouse, Keyboard, or your controller. Click define and then OKAY.
Other emulators follow the same concept.
I read up on Genisis paints and ordered a small set.. The are suppose to replace oils.. and are heat actived to set. I just wanted to know others experiences with them..
Genesis is a heat set paint.
The paints are thick and you can either buy the thinning medium that genesis makes or you can use something like mineral oil to thin it out. It is not a water based paint. Genesis paint has a learning curve.
It only takes a small amount on a dry brush for blushing and painting. I use a dab on the brush then dab my brush on a paper towel and then blush or paint, repeating if I need the color darker. If I feel i’ve got to much paint in an area, I use a clean dry paint brush to pull away and blend the excess.
You can use a heat gun or you can pop your sculpt in the oven for a few minutes. I paint after the final bake and before adding hair and other materials. If you use a heat gun make sure that you don’t burn the clay.
Now for the glossy look to lips, that can be done a number of ways. You can use the Genesis glazing medium, which also works as a thinning medium or you can use the varnish. You could even use a touch of 3D laquer for that really shiny look.
**********************
Be careful using baby oil to thin as I would believe it might have a tendancy to get more shiny. I use turpenol it is an orderless turpentine it cuts down the smell. It is pretty reasonable and can be bought at a hardware store or Walmart. The mixture I use for my reborning layers is about 2 1/2 tablespoons to 1/4 teaspoon of paint. With Genisis a little goes a long long way. I use a wedge makeup sponge and pounce it on to get the layered affect you can do that also with the wedge point cut it more narrow if need to get into small sections but great for your legs arms and face before adding the additional colors. If your paint appears to dry up it is not bad, the turpenol, turpentine, thinning medium, just dried up add some more and you are good to go. Genisis paints are good until they are cooked. The recommended time is 8 minutes at 265 F if you underbake it will come off. You can underbake on first couple of layers but not the last one. If you do not underbake and you make a mistake it can be taken off with more turpenol as long as your last layer is fully baked. To test and see if it is fully baked(let it cool down for 5 minutes or so, leave the oven on) then take wet a cue-tip with water and rub a spot gentlely if any paint comes off on the cue-tip put it back in the oven for 5 minutes.
Genisis also makes a matt finish. If your paint gets too shiney you can add a little matt finish to it and that will help take away the shine.
If your paint gets shiney that usually means you are baking it at too high a temperature. The thinning medium is expensive to use and turpenol you get about 1 qt for around 6 to 7 US dollars. It goes a long long way.
If you want your skin to look more real add a tiny bit of yellow and I mean tiny to the first layer you blot on then do another layer adding a tiny bit of brown and again tiny bit, then add a larger amount not too much to make it a little pink then add a larger amount of genisis red and a tiny bit of burnt sienna and a tiny bit of the dark blue make it almost a maroon color for the cheeks and blushing of knees and elbows.
I was thinking about getting a tattoo in the future (after some careful consideration and of course I’ll need to save up the money; I’m 18 now). I kind of want to get a tattoo that represents my love for writing: a feather pen and inkwell where the the pen is dripping ink that makes a puddle that looks like a heart.
However, I also want to add in some scripture references in a Roman Numeral code (ie: Genisis 3:5 would be I; III:V). The natural choice would be Psalm 45:1 (XIX; XLV:I) because it’s about poetry/writing. However, Jeremiah 29:11-14 and Psalm 139 have REALLY impacted me. Should I just stick with the one verse, or should I add in all of them?
I like your idea, although try not to make it too detailed if you have never had one before. You can always get the basics and add to it later (i.e. the scripture references).
